The highly textured silk is called Matka and is handspun in Eastern India and then twisted on an earthen pot. The highly prized mulberry silk has a nubby texture from the thick handspun yarns and has been called the perfect "all season" silk since it keeps you cool, comfortable and is quite wrinkle free. Our super short kurta, also called a kurti, falls just below the hip and has 4" side slits.
