Women's Cotton Long Kurta with Applique on Yoke
Inspired by the culture and textiles of Aztec - an ethnic group of central Mexico, this kurta draws heavy influences in terms of motifs from aboriginal art, textures created through layering and stitch and dramatic and unusual colour combinations. The geometrical pattern on this kurta has been created using Applique. The term Applique is derived from the French word applique which means to "put on or lay on" or to "apply". The earliest know example of applique dates back to 980 B.C. Egypt. In applique, pieces are of fabric forming the design are cut out and prepared to eliminate the raw edges. These are then placed on the larger backing fabric and sewn in place using a variety of stitches.

Yes, this kurta comes with side slits. It does not have lining.
